Kristin Liu, P.D. is the Project Director of the TIES Center. In this position, she conducts research and provides technical assistance on educational change processes that will support and sustain the inclusion of all students in inclusive learning settings. She is also Assistant Director of NCEO and PI for the Improving Instruction of English Learners Through Accessibility Decision Making project. Her research and technical assistance focus on improving academic expectations and outcomes of students from special populations, including English learners, students with disabilities, and, her particular area of expertise, is English learners with disabilities. Her work also addresses the inclusion of students with special needs in accountability assessments at the local and state levels.
